Natural health & Healing
Natural health and healing has been used for thousands of years. Before the development of Western medicine as we know it today, the early societies routinely used herbs and plant substances to heal disease and wounds. Ancient tribes such as the Native Americans, Maya, Hindus and Chinese used healing touch to heal disease and symptoms. They believed that the healer who used healing touch techniques listened to the “voice” of the body and thought that the body had it’s own wisdom to heal. The healer believes that they send out energy vibrations to the recipient. Natural health or alternative medicine can also be viewed as a preventative approach to health care. I have listed some of the main points about natural healing.
1. If we assume that the body has linkage to natural organic substances then we can believe that the body is capable of healing itself.
2. Herbal therapy neutralizes or eliminates harmful substances from your body.
3. Homeopathy is a uses natural, plant products to heal.
4. Health is not just the absence of disease but rather it is an overall state of wellness involving your body, mind and spirit.
5. If the healer is to change the person’s health then there has to be a change in the energy of the recipient.
6. The body gives us messages, so listen to your body.
Many of the thoughts and ideology pertaining to natural health involve our mind and spirit, just as much as our body. Some thoughts to consider that contribute to wellness are;
1. Be thankful.
2. Bless the lives of others.
3. Learn forgiveness.
4. Live in harmony.
5. Meditate and reflect daily.
